Welcome!

Book signing Coffee County 2016

In the course of my life, I’ve always had a passion for the creative arts. I believed that one day I’d be a singer with songs on the radio, and that I’d be touring from state to state–or perhaps even country to country–performing songs I’d written. However, our lives don’t always follow the paths we assume they will.

I had a dream in November of 2010 in which I was instructed by a college professor to write a romance novel based in a time of civil unrest. In my dream, I was excited about the project, went home from school, and immediately began writing my novel. The story took place in Mobile, Alabama after the end of the Civil War. When I woke, I remembered everything: the characters, the plot, etc.  So, after pestering my coworkers with the details of my dream, they encouraged me to write it down.

I wrote with a manic passion that eventually put three full novels on paper, each one having more than 190,000 words! And…I finished all three in less than a year’s time.

Since then, I’ve honed my skill. I’ve dug deep into my craft and grasped onto everything I could learn about writing. Much of what I’ve learned came from workshops I attended through Romance Writers of America and my local chapter, Music City Romance Writers. I’ve met many incredible authors who’ve inspired and encouraged me to keep writing. I can never thank them enough!

In June of 2014, my debut novel, “Marked,” was published. It’s set in 1850 and the majority of the story takes place on a Mississippi River steamboat called the Bonny Lass. Please check out my book tab for more information on this story as well as details about my other books available from Amazon.

I hope you’ll enjoy following my journey. Like life itself, writing is a great adventure!

  10. I have read 5 of Jeanne’s books and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them! I have known Jeanne for over 20 years, she continues to amaze me with her artistic ability. There is nothing she can’t do! I have seen her artwork, i’ve seen her star in plays, I’ve heard her sing (in fact she sang at my wedding)! I’ve seen some of the songs she has written, and now she’s writing books! Once I start reading one of them, I can’t seem to put it down! As I said, there’s nothing this lady can’t do and whatever she does, she does it well. She is an amazing person and I am proud to call her my friend.

    • Judy, you’re so kind! You’ve been a blessing to my life and I’m proud to call you my friend, too! Thank you for always being so supportive of me. You’ve encouraged me at times when I felt ready to give up in the sometimes cruel artistic world! You’re amazing and incredibly gracious.

  11. I have read 5 of Jeanne’s books and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them! I have known Jeanne for over 20 years, she continues to amaze me with her artistic ability. Besides the fact that she is a dedicated mother, grandmother, and wife…she is a loyal friend. There is absolutely nothing she can’t do! I have seen her artwork, i’ve seen her star in plays, I’ve heard her sing (in fact she sang at my wedding)! I’ve seen some of the songs she has written and now she’s writing books! Once I start reading one of them, I can’t seem to put it down! The trilogy of “River Romances” were some of my favorites, I couldn’t wait to finish them, yet I was sorry to get to the end…I loved following the characters into the next aspect of their lives. As I said, there’s nothing this lady can’t do and whatever she does, she does it well. She is an amazing person, who is enormously talented, and I am proud to call her my friend.

    • You’re so kind, Brenda! I’m honored to have received your first fan letter!🙂
I’m expecting the final draft of “Redemption” from my editor any day now. I’d hoped to have it out by Thanksgiving, but am quite confident it’ll be released by the end of the month. It’s a long one, so it’s taking a little longer! I think you’re going to enjoy it, and it’ll be worth the wait.
      Happy Thanksgiving!
      Jeanne
